Rey Vercosa

"The second album “Liberdade de Expressão Brasileira” was completely produced by Rey himself. The 14 songs are a mix of Jazz, Samba and Funk. With the participation of famous Brazilian musicians this album has become an impressive mix of rhythms and influences expressing authentic Brazilian music. Rey Verçosa and his Band did present a concert at the sixth edition of the Festival de la Nueva Arte Brasileña in La Paloma Barcelona. It is the biggest festival of the Brazilian culture in Spain. Rey did presented the International Peace Congress of South-America in Punta del Este (Uruguay) and with a concert of his new album he closed the congress. In 2004 “Rey Verçosa” gave some concerts in the following clubs in Barcelona: Sala BiKiNi, LeKashbah, Up and Down, La Paloma, Jamboree, Chaisee Lougue… The song "Boneca" of the first album, for which Rey collaborated with the band “BaNDaBaGaNa” was selected for the season albums of 2001 of the 2 biggest television channels in Brazil (Rede Globo & SBT) and of which 600 000 copies were sold. Rey also has a lot of success with his band “ELECTRIO”, a live mix of electronic and acoustic music. Every Saturday of 2005 Rey was the resident in the discotheque Privilege on Ibiza, the worlds biggest club according to the Guinness Book of 2005, where a crowd of 9 000 people went mad when he played the didgeridoo. He also performed in Namaste, Blue Marlin, Sa Trinxa (Salinas) and Pacha Ibiza."

On thursday 26 July, Guarana will host the launch of a CD compilation from two of the most loved Ibiza djs.

Oliver Lang (Bora Bora) and Graham Sahara (Funky Room and Guarana resident) will celebrate the release of their album with a mega party.

Graham Sahara has both lived and Dj'd in Ibiza, Spain for over a decade. In Ibiza, during the 1990's, Graham Sahara started at the club Konga, was resident at Bar Zuka, played at both the Mezzanine Bar and Manumissions Pink Pussy Motel, and was soon invited to play guest spots at the world renowned clubs, Pacha - Ibiza and El Divino - Ibiza. By the summer of 2000 Club Konga was being described as one of the best small clubs on the island (Dreamcast Rough Guide to Ibiza). After many years at the forefront of the club scene in Ibiza, we've just received confirmation that Guarana has been nominated for the upcoming DJ AWARDS 2007 in the Ibiza Bar category.

The Dj Awards was created to recognise the talent, popularity and cultural significance of the Dj's of today and, for the past 10 years, an online voting system rewards the most popular djs in a number of categories....House, Techno, Trance and many others.

Peter Colours Band

Sunday May 6th, Peter Colours will be performing live at Guarana from 5pm.....

Constituted in 1997, they released their first album “Tangerine Shot” in 2003, with the catalan label Bip Bip Records. Ever since, they’ve performed in many national and international cities among which Liverpool where they played at The Cavern, the legendary club where the Beatles got started....
