![]() Rey Vercosa Some info from Vercosa's website reads: "The second album “Liberdade de Expressão Brasileira” was completely produced by Rey himself. The 14 songs are a mix of Jazz, Samba and Funk. With the participation of famous Brazilian musicians this album has become an impressive mix of rhythms and influences expressing authentic Brazilian music. Rey Verçosa and his Band did present a concert at the sixth edition of the Festival de la Nueva Arte Brasileña in La Paloma Barcelona. It is the biggest festival of the Brazilian culture in Spain. Rey did presented the International Peace Congress of South-America in Punta del Este (Uruguay) and with a concert of his new album he closed the congress. In 2004 “Rey Verçosa” gave some concerts in the following clubs in Barcelona: Sala BiKiNi, LeKashbah, Up and Down, La Paloma, Jamboree, Chaisee Lougue… The song "Boneca" of the first album, for which Rey collaborated with the band “BaNDaBaGaNa” was selected for the season albums of 2001 of the 2 biggest television channels in Brazil (Rede Globo & SBT) and of which 600 000 copies were sold. Rey also has a lot of success with his band “ELECTRIO”, a live mix of electronic and acoustic music. Every Saturday of 2005 Rey was the resident in the discotheque Privilege on Ibiza, the worlds biggest club according to the Guinness Book of 2005, where a crowd of 9 000 people went mad when he played the didgeridoo. He also performed in Namaste, Blue Marlin, Sa Trinxa (Salinas) and Pacha Ibiza." |
